Endodontics on tooth 4.6 with a fractured file
New clinical case provided by Dr. Carlos Peón. On this occasion, the BlueShaper® instrumentation system is key thanks to its unique properties on the market that give it great flexibility and its conservative diameters that allow it to preserve a greater part of dentin than with other files.
Clinical case: treatment of pulpitis with BlueShaper® files
Irreversible pulpitis patient with healthy periodontium.
After performing the initial X-ray a main duct “disappears” in the area of the middle third.
The absence of the main duct in the area of the middle third suggests the presence of a Vertucci type V bifurcation.
To carry out the treatment in this type of cases, it is necessary to instrument with flexible files and without shape memory.
Files that allow pre-bending to know which canal is being instrumented are the best option. It is also necessary to preserve most of the tooth structure, especially in the coronal area, as it is key to prognosis. In this case, files with small and conservative diameters are the best option.
Doctor Carlos Peón chooses the BlueShaper® file system to instrument the canals and obtain the expected results.
To finish the treatment, the thermoplastic filling is carried out with the Z-Down and Z-Up system.
