Over 2,200 participants at the second Endodontics Virtual Symposium 3.0
The second edition of the Endodontics Virtual Symposium 3.0 had more than 2,200 attendees. Due to the magnificent reception, the free registration period was extended until January 31st to allow access to the recording of the day’s sessions.
The second edition of the “Virtual Endodontics Symposium 3.0: Two alloys in one system”, held on January 21st, was a resounding success with more than 2,200 dentists registered. On this occasion, the focus of the event was the instrumentation of root canals with 6th generation NiTi files.
Zarc4Endo sponsored this new edition with the aim of offering innovative content that positions endodontics as one of the branches of dentistry that is on the rise and that demands the highest levels of specialization and training.
The Symposium was organized by the company o2o Formacion and was endorsed by the Spanish General Dental Council. Also collaborating in the event were Endoformacion, the Master’s Degree in Microscopic Endodontics and Apical Surgery at Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) and the 5th Biennial Congress of COEM, which will be held virtually on February 12th and 13th.
Over three hours of training
The event was presented and moderated by doctors Francisco de la Torre and Roberto Estevez, who welcomed all those registered and highlighted the extensive participation, with attendees from more than 15 countries.

Dr. Rafael Cisneros started off the day presenting “6th Generation of Instruments: How the Journey Has Been”, in which he highlighted the appearance of NiTi files at the end of the 20th century as one of the great milestones in endodontics. Today we can see that NiTi files have significantly improved the quality of root canal treatments.

The second presentation of the afternoon, “2 Alloys… 1 SYSTEM”, was given by Dr. Jose Aranguren. As a great connoisseur of the field of endodontic metallurgy, he presented the world’s first ever double alloy system. An innovation that improves the torsion and flexibility of the instruments to help preserve the anatomy of the canals as much as possible. With the new BlueShaper system, a very safe and predictable clinical procedure can be achieved, as was highlighted by the speaker.

Presentation of clinical cases, step by step
After this first block of theoretical knowledge, it was time for the presentation of clinical cases, started off by Dr. Jose Conde with the case “Efficacy, Efficiency and Safety: All Made Possible in a Single System but with Double Alloys”. In this retreatment he demonstrated how a system like BlueShaper® brings safety, versatility and efficiency, both in simple and complex cases and, most importantly, ensuring a predictable and successful treatment for the patient.

Dr. Carlos Ibañez was in charge of presenting the clinical case entitled “Pink Alloy, Clinical Application of Memory Control”, where he explained that the low memory control of 6th generation NiTi files helps the clinician by improving access to posterior areas and management of complex anatomies.

With the original title “Welcome to the Jungle”, Dr. Jon Eskurza transmitted the common denominator of everyday lives of endodontists and dentists, which is to do everything in their power to save teeth. The combination of technology, materials and experience increases the chances of success with these challenging treatments.

The last clinical case of the afternoon was presented by Dr. Alberto Sierra, “Clinical Behavior of 6th Generation NiTi Systems in Complex Situations”, in which he explained how the correct choice of file system can help avoid unwanted accidents and make endodontics safer and more predictable.

Roberto Estevez and Francisco de la Torre moderated an interesting discussion forum with the speakers where any doubts that came up during the exhibitions were resolved.
From odontologists to odontologists
The finishing touch to the day was given by the Director of Business Development of Zarc4Endo, presenting the philosophy of this innovative project, with the new paradigm of products created by odontologists to odontologists (D4D) in a collaborative environment.
We were left with the inspiring message by Agustin Sanchez, who transmitted to us that “we are living one of the most important moments in our history, the greatest problems in the world are the greatest opportunities.”
